South Korea’s leftist forces are doing something “devious and clever” once again…!
This summer, there are many reports of congestion everywhere in the Japanese archipelago due to the Obon season after Corona. Regardless of such Obon in Japan, it is murderously hot in Korea.
On such a day, I found an article that made me think, “That’s right…”. It was an article in the Chosun Ilbo (Chosun Ilbo, Korea) titled “Professor Kang Jung-man: ‘Korea’s MBC thinks that taking the side of the DPJ is the way to democratize broadcasting.
The content of the article was that Kang Joon-man, a professor emeritus at Chonbuk National University, published “MBC’s Black History” on the awfulness of excessive partisan (pro-United Democratic Party) coverage of South Korea’s MBC broadcasts since the Moon Jae-in administration. I thought, “That’s right,” but what surprised me more was the fact that Professor Kang’s university is located in Jeolla-do Province.
Jeolla-do is famous for being the region where the approval rating for Ri Jae-myung exceeded 90% in the last presidential election, and is considered a region with strong leftist ideology. The fact that he was criticizing leftists from such a region made us worry more about Professor Kang’s safety than about the content of his criticism.
Against this backdrop, Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Korea (DPJ), responded to the prosecutor’s request to appear before the court on August 17. In conjunction with his appearance, he played a “clever and devious trick” that has become the talk of the town.
Anti-Japanese Justice” has run out of steam
Representative Ri Jae-myung even made a digital poster saying that he would “stand up to the prosecutors with dignity,” and at the same time, he called for his supporters to gather in front of the prosecutor’s office on the day of his appearance.
He even specified the exact time of the meeting, “August 17, 10:20 a.m.” The purpose of the meeting was to get his supporters (including reporters) to spread his excuses as if they were legitimate.
Despite all the testimonies and evidence of suspicious deaths and allegations surrounding Ri Jae-myung, it is hard to understand what those who still support him believe.
The leftist political parties and civil society groups in South Korea today look like goldfish in a small goldfish bowl (in South Korea) that is running out of oxygen and is “up” on the surface of the water. The oxygen of “anti-Japanese justice,” which the Korean people have been supporting, is running out.
It could go “back to the drawing board” at any moment…
Polls show that many Gen Zers are saying, “History is history, and it’s not right to be agitated by politics based on historical feelings. I want to enjoy my life more than that.
Middle-aged and older people are also cool to the leftist political parties and civil society groups that continue to spread not only excessive but also childish falsehoods about the Fukushima nuclear power plant treated water issue.
Even if the media wants to defend them, they cannot do so if they know the information is a hoax. Moreover, when they try to attack the Yun administration for some scandal or inconvenience, all of them are matters that were approved by the DPJ together with the Moon Jae-in administration.
However, I myself still have little faith in this country for the leftists who are known to be in such a state of disarray. As long as the people are born with distorted roots and a sense of “resentment,” it is impossible to know which way they will turn.
Looking at the current leftists in South Korea, one can see that they are fully aware of this, but they seem to think that the situation can be reversed at any time. While one can hope for a hard-working administration in South Korea, at the same time one is aware that things could go either way at any moment. I can only hope that these fears will be overcome by the general election in eight months’ time.
