U.S. Department of Defense Fears China’s “Biological and Chemical Weapons
On August 17, the U.S. Department of Defense released military guidelines stipulating that “China’s biological weapons are a serious threat. This is because the Pentagon has determined that China may intentionally use biological weapons to disrupt the activities of U.S. forces operating around the world.
The official name of the guidelines is the Biodefense Posture Review (BPR), and while the BPR lists China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran as countries that possess the capability to create deadly pathogens, China is considered the greatest threat.
The BPR emphasizes that “China calls biology a ‘new area of warfare'” and that “the U.S. military must take urgent action.
In response to the BPR’s announcement, the August 17 Washington Post reported, “Over the past decade, China has invested heavily in laboratories capable of testing dangerous pathogens. It is also strongly promoting a policy of ‘military-civilian fusion’ in the field of biology,” it reported.

Persistent Corona “Wuhan Institute” Leakage Theory
In the U.S., there are persistent voices, mainly from the opposition Republican Party, calling for the theory that the new corona originated from the Wuhan Virus Research Institute in China (Wuhan Virus Research Institute theory).
